WILLIAM JACOBS III

William John “Billy” Jacobs III, 42, of Forward Township, died suddenly Wednesday, January 5, 2011, in UPMC Presbyterian, due to a stroke. He was born April 26, 1968, in Pittsburgh, the son of Bill and Dolores Jacobs. Billy was president and owner of Oriental Gardens in West Mifflin, a member and past president of the Pleasant Hills Rotary and an avid hunter. He was preceded in death by grandparents William John I and Francis Jacobs; and Theodore Dolansky.

He was the devoted father of Kyle and Kasia. He is also survived by his parents, his grandmother Priscilla “Mamaw”

Dolansky; two sisters, Lisa (Marty) Altschaffl and Amie (Jason) Sinay; and nieces and nephew Kayla, Kira, Kirkland, Hunter and Will “Little Billy.” Friends will be received Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 State Route 51, (Large), Jefferson Hills . His funeral service will be Sunday, January 9, 2011, at 2 p.m. in in the funeral home with fellow Rotarian, the Rev. Dan Strussenberg, officiating.A graveside burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery, Pleasant Hills. Donations may be made to the family for a fund set up for Billy’s daughter Kasia.
