Frederick Wm. Betzner, 81, of Forward Township, died Saturday, October 9, 2010, in Southwestern Nursing Center, Pleasant Hills. Born in McKeesport, August 21, 1929, he was the son of the late Frederick E. and Georgina Dennison Betzner. A retired proprietor of EPA in Forward Township, he was a licensed pilot of small aircrafts and member of Elizabeth Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, June D. Dolton Betzner; sons Frederick Von Betzner of Denver, Col., Mark E. Betzner of Lincoln and Attorney Eric P. (April) Betzner of Washington; grandchildren Frederick Wayne Betzner, Sarah (Matthew) Monson, Jacob Paul Betzner and Rachel Renee Betzner; great-grandchildren Cora June, Nella Beth, Neimiah Anthony and Johanna Joy; sisters Erma Randolph of West Mifflin, Louise Countryman of Liberty and Twila Lepro of Waynesburg; brother Ronald Betzner of Dravosburg; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Dennison.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 Second St., Elizabeth . Service will be conducted there in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. by the Rev. David L. Myers. Interment will be in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
